💡💡 New Lighting Work! 💡💡 I'm thrilled to finally post this project. Towards the end of last year, I lit a few music videos (as the Cornwall Unit Gaffer) for the incredible James Arthur. All for his new album Pisces. Shot across many locations, interior and exteriors, we braved a storm in North Cornwall to get the shots, and it was truly an unforgettable project. A massive shout-out to the incredible London crew who made it all happen! Special thanks to the amazing directors, Charles Gall and Charlie Drinkwater, and the fantastic DOP Billy Kendall. It was a pleasure working with such a dedicated and talented team! And of course, a huge thank you to our brilliant Cornwall unit too, especially Jon Daynes for his excellent sparking work! Also, a big thanks to Chris from Cornish Camera Co. for the kit rental – he's amazing! Couldn't have done it without everyone. #Gaffer #Lighting #MusicVideo #FilmCrew #BehindTheScenes #JamesArthur #Cornwall #London #Filmmaking #SetLife #Cinematography #StormShoot #NewWork #LightingDesign #filmedincornwall -- @jamesarthur23 @Drinkwater_studio @Charlesagall drinkwater_charlie @shamuspalmer @Aleisha_digby @billyykendall @Edwardellissmith @jameskelleghervisuals @daynesjon @morganlowndes @sam_fabianmiller @aaronhindes @sennendad @Ethanmenearfilm @drinkwater_l @harrybirduk @amy.shakerley @Harrietbu @jazzella_h @Ceci_costumes @cornishcameraco

KONIN won the UMANITARIA prize at the @babelfilmfestival 🏆🎥🎞️ I'm stupendously proud of the crew to bring this together and for Konin to get a festival win. Well done all!! Babel Film Festival, is the first international film competition celebrating minority languages and cultures! In a global industry often focused on universal narratives, Babel champions the rich diversity of human expression found in local languages and dialects. It's a vital platform for communities to rediscover identity and share unique stories from the world's peripheral areas. Join us in Cagliari to experience cinema's poetic power, foster cultural exchange, and celebrate linguistic vivacity. ===== Written by: Sravya Raju Directed by: Matilda Butler Produced by: Jake Waters Director of Photography: Neal Megaw - #fylmk #flymkcornwall #cornwallfilm #filmmakercornwall #Konin #CornishLanguage #ScreenCornwall #CornwallCouncil #ShortFilm #ComingOfAge #Friendship #Loss #Change #FilmProduction #RainyDays #MuddyShoot #FilmShoot #FilmMaking #FilmCrew #FilmIndustry #BehindTheScenes #FilmmakingLife #FilmPhotography #fylmk @_matildabutler @jakeyboy.waters @jamie2coupland @thatwickedharry @jjwh_66 @charlie.camera @sten_________________ @joab_elkerton @flora.n.lambert @sarahgphillips @sweeetgeorgiapeach_ @melodious_honk @mckayla.smt @prayata_film @screencornwall @koninshortfilm

For World Book Day on March 6th, featuring the charming Clemo Books, an independent bookshop in Newquay that's all about "curating books and creating community”. Run by the passionate Jaimie Poyner, Clemo Books is a haven for book lovers. I had the pleasure of filming amongst the cosy shelves, capturing the essence of this wonderful space. Jaimie shared five must-read books, from a fantasy set on the moors to an essential fish cookery book, each exploring a unique facet of our beloved landscape. 🌱✨ Shot and edited by me for Seasalt Cornwall. #VideoWork #ClemoBooks #Cornwall #BookLovers #Community #IndependentBookshop #LiteraryJourney #WorldBookDay @clemobooks

LYMP BTS, a few phone snaps from the shoot featuring me and the crew doing our thing. A particular highlight is Charlie on a the apple box with Nat looking at him with such glee! ** Last year, I had the incredible opportunity to collaborate with @fylmankoth on their latest short film, Lymp. This film, narrated in Kernewek, tells the story of a new kid at a Cornish secondary school who tries to conceal his true self on the basketball court. It was a fantastic project to be part of, with an amazing cast and crew who did a brilliant job. Fylmankoth is on a remarkable journey, creating original and captivating content. Their work is making a significant impact on the Cornish film industry, laying strong foundations for future filmmakers in the region.Their dedication to quality and authenticity is setting a high standard and inspiring others to explore and celebrate identity through film. I can't wait to work with them again in the near future! It was also my first time lighting for DP Charlie Davies, the absolute legend and all round wonderful and talented human. New work! 🎥💡 I wanted to share a little promo & portraits that I made for the Super Tuner, Mr. Seamas Carey! It's a fun little piece, and it even features me as a piano player struggling to find the right tune until Seamas comes along and saves the day!

💡New lighting / Gaffer work💡 A few months ago I finally got to work with the amazing team at @idennacreative . They brought me in to light a television commercial for their client Mitchell & Webber. The Brief was simple, make it look natural but with controlled emphasis on the talent. I'll share a BTS and Lighting layout in a future post. A few months ago, I had the opportunity to work with the amazing Ha Hum Ah to photograph promotional material for their incredible show, "The Massive Tragedy of Madame Bovary." Ha Hum Ah is an award-winning theatre and film production company based in Cornwall. They create innovative, ambitious, and accessible stories that stimulate the imagination. **Personal Note:** 03/10/2018 - 28/11/2024 Today, October 28, 2024, marks the final choir practice with Men Are Singing. Over the past few weeks, I’ve had the pleasure of performing across Cornwall with a group of around 40 incredible men to spread the message that “Singing makes you feel better.” Together, we have contributed to something beautiful and created stories that will be shared for generations to come. I wish I had joined sooner, but I am extremely grateful for the nearly two years I’ve spent with the choir. Singing truly does make you feel better, and I will continue to sing because of what Seamas and Men Are Singing have done for me. Thank you, Seamas, for what you have created. I will miss you, and I can’t wait to collaborate with you again in the near future. In the meantime, here are a few stills from our "Swimming Pool Sessions," which were shot in the empty swimming pool at Ships & Castles, now known as the Pendennis Center, on a beautifully warm day in May. @menaresinging @seamascarey #singingmakesyoufeelbetter #malechoir #altchoir #singingincorwall
